PARKing CRISTO – RE

The proposed road system involves shifting vehicular access to Lung’Adige Braille in order to relieve pressure on the internal urban roads and to streamline traffic flows generated by the new facility, without compromising pedestrian access to the park — which is in fact improved for the adjacent residential neighborhood. The new configuration of park access and parking provides a two-way entrance lane up to the entrance of the underground garage, after which circulation becomes one-way around the ramp itself. This allows both entry to and exit from the small surface parking area dedicated to park users. The covered ramp also creates an opportunity to establish a hierarchy of circulation paths and to allocate space for two-wheeled vehicles.
